Supporting Utility Needs for Georgia’s Most Vulnerable Homes
ATLANTA, Ga. (January 9, 2025) – Gas South, a leading natural gas provider, donated $100,000 to the Heating Energy Assistance Team (HEAT). This contribution will assist low-income families and individuals pay their energy bills during the colder months.
“Through this partnership, we’re helping to make a real difference for those who need it most,” said Jamie Tiernan, CFO at Gas South.
HEAT works in collaboration with energy companies, community organizations, and donors to provide financial assistance to vulnerable households across Georgia. Gas South’s generous donation will help expand HEAT’s reach and inspire others to join in supporting this vital cause.
“Supporting HEAT’S mission is part of our purpose to Be A Fuel For Good,” said Tiernan. “We believe that no family should have to choose between staying warm or meeting basic needs.”
Gas South encourages other businesses and individuals to contribute to HEAT and help make a lasting impact in the community.
